Owners: Kent & Susie Batchelor

Kent grew up farming in Tennessee. Both sets of grandparents were full-time farmers raising cattle, hogs, chickens, and some row crops. Later, Kent operated his own farm in Dellrose, growing hay and raising and training Quarter Horses. Kent holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and is a journeyman machinist. Kent also proudly served his country with the US Army.

Susie is a native Floridian. She admittedly doesn't know much about farming, so with her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration/Accounting, she focuses on keeping the business running. In her spare time, she enjoys working with and riding her two Quarter horses, Docs Secret Smoke (Secret) and Badgers Freckle Doc (Stirling).

Parts Sales Staff

Edward (Casey) Jones owned and operated the Farm Store in its current location from 1970 to 2015. The Farm Store built a solid reputation in the farming community through the years with Casey. He is an amazing man with encyclopedic knowledgeable of all types of farm equipment and is usually able to identify the make and model of a part before the customer speaks. Casey has always dealt with his customers in a fair and honest manner, and this continues to this day. In February 2015, Casey sold the Elkton Farm Store to Kent and Susie. Though he's retired now, Casey still can be found behind the counter at the Store Monday through Friday. Casey also is a US Army veteran.

Mark Wallace has been with the Farm Store for 15 years. He, too, is very knowledgeable and is well known in the surrounding communities. Mark's dad, Robert, was Casey’s chief mechanic for 40 years. In Mark's spare time, he enjoys riding his motorcyle.

Mechanics

Jeff White has been with the Farm Store since May 2015. He is a life-long mechanic, is very knowledgeable with tractors, implements, and small engine work, and is an excellent diagnostician. He and Luke Kirk, our newest hire in March 2017, are able to tackle all types of repairs, from simple jobs like changing fluids to complete engine or transmission overhauls.
